Hi! I'm looking to purchase my very first smartphone this weekend! I have absolutely no prior experience with them other than the minor research I've done on them, and occasionally fiddling around with acquaintances devices to get a general feel for what I'm getting into.
I have a $200 USD budget and I'm currently on Cricket's $30/mo service (a VERY old service. Don't check the website, it doesn't exist anymore.
), and I'm currently debating between an LG Optimus C and an LG Optimus V. I'm not sure if the vocational school I'm going to has wifi, so the 1gb cap Cricket has, and the fact that the phones inherent tethering capabilities are a breach of contract kinda irritate me, and the 55/mo android plan is daunting for someone with low income.
So my questions are this: What other smart phones are in the $200 price range, are they better than an LG Optimus, and do they work with Virgin Mobile? Let me know, thanks!
