Accessories Protective case for 3500 mah battery

Does anyone know of a protective case to cover the droid Eris with the extended 3500 mah battery on it.

You can try a small briefcase perhaps. That may accommodate the extra room with the added battery width.
 
I have a horizontal holster that I bought at WalMart that works pretty good.



Also the 3500maH battery isn't even that big. It's still smaller than my old HTC Mogul. It's pretty much the same size as a Touch Pro.

I'm suprised seidio doesn't make a case for it, they make other cases that are nice and they make the batteries :/
 
thanks for the replies. I will check out the ones y'all showed me. Does anyone think there might be a hard case for it?

It's close but a hard case for the Droid won't fit it.

I always find that dirt and dust get's trapped under any kind of hard case anyway. Seems like a waste if you're trying to protect the phone.
 
How much does the battery actually make a difference? I was loooking at it, but wanted to know if it was worth the 70 dollar pricetag. My droid eris is literally dying twice a day at least. I can't seem to keep it charged if I want to use it at all. who wants an android device they can't use? So let me know if it's worth the pay and the extra width on the device.
 
omg.. I didn't think the seido battery was THAT big! I think my phone is large enough already with just its leather case I got with it that snaps on.

No way in hell I'm putting that in my pocket. :eek:

It's literally night and day as far as battery life goes. It's almost 3x the size as the stock battery.

I can go 2 days easy with moderate usage and 3 if I'm not using it a lot.

I tested it today and streaming radio over Pandora uses about 8% an hour. Streaming anything is about the most power intensive thing you can do with this phone.

Sweet. You have any measurements using navigation? Pandora is a hog but so is the navigation. 10 hours streaming on a charge is great. I just ordered one cause I figured it wouldn't be much bigger than with a phone condemn on anyway and I want something that travels well power wise. I have a beater pearl flip for when I need a small phone.
 
Overall it's still smaller and lighter than a Droid but with 3x the battery life.

I haven't regretted buying it for 1 second.

+1 I don't think the pics look bad at all, I'm looking forward to it...i had a Razr V3M with a big extended battery and yeah it screwed up the lines of the phone but you could talk and text all day and not even touch that battery...used to tether my palm pilot through it and plug it in when I got around to it...I've missed that thing the last few years, this will be just like the old days
