Protein powders

I have been back and forth with Muscle Milk and Optimum nutrition. I see better results with MM but it's high in calories so thats why i switched to OP. Anyone know if BSN's Syntha 6 is any good? I wanna try something new but with quality protein that has a good name. Thanks!

Looking from a purely nutritional standpoint, I would look for something low in sugar and cholesterol (most whey protein powders tend to be pretty high in cholesterol) and high in protein. Better yet eat fat free, strained Greek yogurt. High in protein, low sugar and calorie content, and as the name implies low fat. This does become more spendy than powders though.

i prefer Gold Standard naturally flavored whey. Tastes like Carnation instant breakfast. But lately I've been pretty lazy and just buying muscle milk. Rather expensive though, but I don't mind the extra calories since I can always use them.

I use muscle milk myself these days because frankly I can get it at costco for cheap.

Nice to see a few muscleheads in here too.

I only use rice & hemp protiens.

Nutribiotic & Manitoba Harvest. I switch off for flavor. I usually try and toss some wheat grass in too.

Gold standard all the way dude.

I have a shake like an hour before I workout then just eat dinner right after :D been doing that for like 2 years now.

Muscletech all the way. Quality stuff and now with an improved formula...no i'm not a rep. But i have used it off and on for years always with great results

Lets also admit anything is better than nothing. When I eat enough protein as I should there a definite difference than when Im under-fed.

For hardgainers like me it's more important than the workout itself. Can't get something from nothing. ;)

Might I also suggest to the OP to check out the forums on bodybuilding.com . There's TONS of info on all aspects of workout and nutrition.
