Just wondering why the proximity sensor doesn't sense when you're phone is in your pocket and turn off the display.
Anyone found an app or setting that makes this happen?
im not sure how you hold your phone when in landscape, but i dont cover the prox sensor any time unless i'm on a phone call.Hm, it's an interesting idea, but it wouldn't be very practical, unfortunately. Then, every time you had the sensor covered (by, say, holding the phone in landscape mode) you would keep turning the screen off.![]()
this would have nothing to do with anything I am talking about.Make sure there's nothing magnetic in your pocket.

incorporating the light sensor (implying an app existed for this) might solve this issue, at least somewhat.

next to the light sensor, upper right part of the front.Just curious, where is the prox sensor on the droid?
what? 1) who carries magnets around in their pocket, 2) it does not affect the proximity sensor or light sensors, so it has nothing to do with this thread. the way a magnet will affect the droid is the same regardless of the functionality being discussed here.It would if you had something magnetic in your pocket.
