I have an LG Optimus Dynamic, or LG L38C model phone. The proximity sensor is giving me issues. The screen goes black as soon as I finish dialing, and will not come back until the person on the other end of the line hangs up.
I cleaned the screen. I removed the screen protector. I cleaned the screen again. I downloaded three separate apps to test and calibrate the sensor. Two simply said the sensor was present, the third kept crashing before it could calibrate it.
I reset the phone to factory default settings.
None of that has helped.
The only think I can think of is to turn the proximity sensor off, but I can not figure out how to do that.
Can anyone guideme through that, and/or offer any other solutions?

I'm having the same problem. I contacted LG and was told this is the way it is. There has to be a way around this situation, otherwise it makes the phone useless. Help please.

I had a similar problem. I removed the screen protector, which seems to have solved the problem. I noticed when the phone is up to my ear the screen goes off, but if I hold it away to enter a number the screen comes back on. Maybe you should
contact LG's service department.
