Proximity sensor toggle

Radish

Lurker
As the title says, is there a way (with a task, maybe with the help of a plugin or a script?) to toggle proximity sensor monitoring that otherwise would have to be enabled or disabled from Tasker preferences -> monitor?

This profile monitors the sensor ... if the sensor is triggered it blanks the display unless a call is in progress. This leaves the display on when on a call and the phone is close to your face. (Basic Tasker ... un-root-ed ... no plug-in.)

Profile: Proximity
State: Proximity
Sensor State: Not Call [ Type:Any Number:* ]
Enter: Anon
A1: System Lock

Thom, I'm trying to achive a display ON with call in progress and proximity sensor covered. Is that what your tutorial is doing?
Can explain it to me more in detail what do I need to do exactly? I have limited Tasker skills and have no idea what is or where to set:
Enter: Anon
A1: System Lock

These are the necessary entries ...

Profiles area
+/State/Sensor/Proximity Sensor
(if it prompts for a name give profile a name)
Back arrow (top of screen on left)
When dialog appears scroll to top of list and select New Task
Dialog opens hit check mark
+/Display/System Lock
Back arrow
Back arrow
Long press on Proximity Sensor context
Select Add
Select State
Select Call
Set Type to Any
Set Invert
Back Arrow
