Help Proximity Sensor

I just got my Gz One about a month ago and somehow cracked the glass covering of the proximity sensor while at work. Now when I'm in a call the screen and buttons are locked so I can't do anything during a call. I have made the power button end the call so I can at least hang up but everything else is locked. Is there anyway to disable the sensor? I just got this phone special and can't believe the sensor is broke. I really don't want to have to get a new one. Jus looking for suggestions.

Thanks that helped me access the dialer which i really needed! Any tips on getting the speakerphone on? Home button is still locked while in the dialer app. Thanks.

ok to get to the home screen, try this, I think you can get there but sliding down from the top the notification screen and click on any running app and then exit out of it to the home screen (I can't test this myself), to get the speaker phone on, install an App called "Speaker Mode: Power Toggle" you can then put a widget on your home screen. hope this helps

Thanks for the help. I am now able to access other screens during a call when the broken proximity sensor locks up the buttons. One more question, will a crack in the proximity sensor's covering effect the phones water resistance?

Since the proximity sensor is directly under it's plastic covering, this depends. If you can see the proximity sensor directly like a hole in the glass then yes. If the glass is just cracked, then it will not be a problem. the worst it could do would be try to get under the plastic casing, which, like every other commando phone, would not happen.
Even though I have a commando opened up to back up my statements, it is not recommended to test this. If it gets in, you willl loose your earpiece. Its right next to it.
