PS3 update questions.

Damn, I got the 160GB version with two games (Little Big Planet 2 and Ratchet and Clank). I'm would have probably go LBP2 , but maybe not the other. Hmm. Oh well. I hear that you can put in pretty much any HD and I thought the move bundle was something like $100. And I'm not really sure how much I'd use it. I can't remember the last time I played my wii. >.>
Hmm...
Congrats on the new toy! Gamestop has lots of good older games cheap.

I've been scouring amazon lately. Man I love amazon. Though, the prices vary quite a lot.

I'm a little weary of ebay, in the past I got sent a wrong game (in my youth mind you, I'm sure I would be much more vigilant now, thought, it was kinda my own fault too, very tricky situation).

Thanks for the replies!

There were a couple of games on sale recently, the dual pack of Uncharted was on sale at Tigerdirect for $20.00 It's not a bad game, like an Indiana Jones treasure hunter kind of game. Gamefly also sells their used games for cheaper than Gamestop. I just picked up a few used games for $15.00, Gamestop had them for about $25.00. What games have you purchased thus far? Below is the trailer for Uncharted, which I recommend if you want something different.

I have MGS HD collection, MGS4, LBP2, Resistance (1 and 2), GTA 4 collection, Infamous and Fallout NV ultimate.

I'm gonna pick up skyrim at the next price drop. Also, I'll check around for the infamous games, I thought they looked good, and would have gotten them with the controller bundle (( that's where I got Resistance 1 & 2, but I didn't like the blue controller that much, and thought that I'd really dig resistance games))...

Ironically, I'm finding the first one to just be ... ehh... (granted, it's what? 5-6 years old? so FPS games have come a long way since then...)

---

Also, in case you're wondering, I don't have real internet access (only my phone would be able to connect to the PS3) so I'm wondering, what would the size of a game patch be? I know they probably vary, but what was the last one you updated (size)?

When I'd connect my phone to my PS3 via 3G, it took awhile to update. On 4G (Rezound gets a much better signal than the Thunderbolt) it takes about 3-4 minutes. I can't remember the sizes nor if it tells me what sizes the updates are. I'm not 100% convinced about getting the updates though since I've seen it affect playback of movies via USB drive more than I've seen it affect the actual gameplay of games.

Also, Newegg has Resident Evil for $17.00 with free shipping, but it's currently out of stock, but will go back in stock in a few days more than likely. Newegg.com - Resident Evil 5: Gold Playstation3 Game CAPCOM

Hmm... well, I'm not sure I'll be able to get it over 3g either, signal isn't too swell... Might have to run into a friend's house and steal their internet for a while...

:/
