so i am currently watching the PS5 event that was live streamed earlier today.


so far the titles alone makes me want to get it at launch.

just curious if anybody here plans on getting one?

i have not finished the event yet. they have not revealed the actual console yet. i just saw a snipet of the controller. i have purposely stayed away from all of the rumors and leaked info about the console.

......so are you?
 
OMG that is a hilarious advert for it.....LOL

So i just got chills seeing the trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn II.

some other noteworthy games i'm excited about it is Deathloop by Bethesda, GTA, Kena, Hitman 3, and Resident Evil 8

some of them they did not say if they will be available at launch or not. they also had no mention on VR. i wonder if they are abandoning the technology. or if that is something that will be out later.
 
My current console is a PS2 (yes it runs on electricity) running EA Sports F1 2001 (best edition) and GT4, with some other driving / rally titles.

I have it in a room decorated by Chinterior Designs Ltd. :)
 
I had reliably been told Gran Turismo went downhill and Forza was the thang on X Box.

Will they do both for the PS5? I guess not Forza.
 
Retro consoles are hot right now and I am not even a big gamer.

Nintendo 64s are going for over a $100

Dreamcast is super hot as well. 90 bucks in our local video game mom and pop shops.

Crazy prices.

So keep your consoles. I still have my dreamcast and ps3 ps1 and Xbox. My son has a switch but he will play the older systems too
 
yeah so looks like sony and microsoft are in a waiting war. sony it seems is waiting to see what the price and when it is available for the new xbox. once, that is known, they will release dates and price range. i have no doubt that both consoles will be released before the holidays......coronavirus or not.

i have seen prices range from $499-$599. but those are just speculations.
 
there were a few game reveals that i saw that i'm really anxious of playing.

here are my three...not in any order:
Kena: Bridge of Spirits

Horizon Zero Dawn: Forbidden West

and Death Loop
 
From someone who went to sleep in 2001, are there no joysticks on the PS5 Could I just have a left one only. Steering wise that's gonna suck

Ah there's the suckers.When I saw your CNET video yesterday there seemed to be none.

I hope they're ergonomic.They seem very shallow, says the old geezer who's unlikely to buy one. Just Curious. :)

I'm definitely going to buy one. I will wait for the bugs to be worked out first. I play on my PS4 a few times a week.

Metal gear mainly, Warzone is okay, Battlefield is fun.
 
yeah i'm not sure i will buy on release, but that will depend on if they are going to have bundles for it. or i most likely will wait for Black Friday......which means i might have to camp out if i want one.....i hope not.
 
Ps5 is coming out and then 2 months later some bigger better game console system will come out. I don't see the use in buying a new game console system, just to have to buy another one like 2 of 3 months later.

i have only ever owned a playstation, since the first one came out. i do not see myself getting an xbox ever. i do play with steam and stadia as well. but i will say this, the PS5 looks amazing and i can't wait to see how Horizon Zero Dawn 2 looks and plays. i think i'm gonna wait to see what Black Friday deals are going to be, before i buy one.

thats a wise choice, because on black friday things are much cheaper than retail price.
