PSX4Droid released!

Games that use heavy 3D function will play slow until/if hardware acceleration is added. 2D games like shooters play fine.
 
installed and got it running no problems following the guide posted..

crash bandicoot (.bin filetype) - works perfectly and sound etc.
resident evil(.iso filetype) - works perfectly and sound is a bit crackley.... only problem is controlls its hard to hold the weapon aim and fire at same time due to mutlitouch limitiations..

gonna rip a few more games soon...

anyone know of a compatability list out for this app yet.. like they have for the gameboid..
 
I can't get the emulator to see my roms. I put the rom on my SD card in zip format and even extracted it to a bin and get nothing.
 
remember only bin is proven to work consistently for psx4droid so far, if get a zip file 7z file or rar file you need to unzip them first.

If after you unzip you get a bin.ecm file, you need to use a ecm tool to unecm the file. simply renaming the file to .bin won't work since ecm is another compression format.

Hope that will help people out there, It took me a while to figure all this out.
 
not completely true.. im running resident evil.img and its wrking perfectly..

unecm works for taking it away... can be found in the guide posted on how to get playstation roms working..
 
Final fantasy VII working great, but can somebody tell me how the emulator handles multiple discs?

Just I don't see anyway to change roms or images while a game is running.
 
Need help. I did everything right but my ROMS will not load. I have the bios in my PSX folder and also 3 ROMS in that same folder. I first selected the bios directory like it asks me to do on start up and then after I can select my Rom. When I select it, the screen goes blank for a second and then comes right back onto the same screen where I select my Roms. I have Gameboid running and know how all this works but what is going on here?? I even got the PSX4iphone to work on my iphone 2G.

Can someone help??? What can I do to fix this??

This is whats keeping me from purchasing right now. Does anyone have any comment.

I think he might need to program in a virtual "open tray" and then have it so you can switch roms and then a virtual "close tray." EDIT* if he doesn't already.

To everyone who is on the fence for trying this app out. Even if you can find one game that you enjoyed back in the day and replayed it on here the 6 bucks would totally be worth it.
 
Odds are when the games ask for disc swap, you change roms. At least thats what you do with other emulators.
 
For anyone who has tested FF8 on this, I have a question;

When emulating FF8 on the PSP, It has a tendency to randomly freeze up when drawing magic. For people drawing 100/100/100 of anything early on in the game, it becomes very noticeable (and frustrating).

I'm curious, does that bug also exist on psx4droid?
 
Please,where do you get working roms for this emulator I can't find any game in bin or ecm format?
