psx4droid v2 fiasco

The people complaining about the pricing choices should really get a life, the prices of both even if they were at $6 is less than a mcdonald's happy meal with tax. ffs, people are so cheap nowadays it sickens me :D
wait, what mcdonalds happy meal costs $6? The most expensive one is like $4...

one suggestion for a future update is possibly a implementing gameshark into the emulator for those of us who love to cheat :p hopefully it wouldnt be too difficult, ive seen it done in other psx emulators for the pc and game genie has been done on the genesis emulator for android

Ok so the force close was a error with my phone it had nothing to do with psx4droid saga frontier and persona 2 still won't work zod you rock!

Btw it was another app causing the crash I found out when I was playing my gboid it crashed so I factory reset the phone 8 hours no crashes

Hey zodttd, any chance you can implement a manual frameskip mode? I want to see how some games run with no frameskip.

I'm still waiting for a trial version to come out before I make a solid purchase decision. I tried the older trial version before v2 came out using metal gear solid and it didnt run all that well at all.

FF8 still freezes at the first in game video where Quistis walks through the door even after the v.1.2 update. Vagrant Story's enemies do not attack either, it appears the AI does not work.

These are games I ripped myself off of good copies so that isn't the problem. I wish I could just get a version of psx4droid lite that saves games as that works just fine.

Are you saying that Game Genie codes can be used on Gensoid? If so, how?

Thank you for explaining. I was willing to pay the price for the new version just because the notes said that 1ghz processors and higher get even more performance boosts with this version.

You've done good work and I really appreciate it. You've saved me from buying the PSphone. I actually think, Sony should make a controller to set the phone in, but have it like the dualshock. I'd ditch all of my handheld gaming devices (even though I love my DSi and PSP big time.

its the only one of any quality tell those cheep basterds they can go out and get themselves p playstation tv and there favorite game and carry it around. this stuffs great i rember when cell phones were the size of a shoe box and cost 2 dollers a minute

Not sure what I can do to give existing psx4droid users v2 though without charging a dollar or two.
ZodTTD

As an (ex) customer of yours, frankly you're full of it. It is quite possible to bring out new versions on the market without charging old customers - look at the model LauncherPro of Titanium use for example. "a dollar or two" (or 6 as it is at the moment - anyone ever tell you that lying isn't nice?) to buy an update makes you a bit of a conman. Very very disappointed in this "fiasco", I didn't think that people such as you could so easily con their customers out of money.

I accidentally deleted v1, and when I downloaded it again I ended up with a duplicate copy of v2. Not a big deal...except the only game I really play is FF7 and it runs like garbage with v2 on my Incredible. The frame rate jumps and the music sounds like it is in slow motion. With v1 everything was perfect.

I'm assuming there isn't any way of going back to v1 without downloading a pirated apk. Are there any specific settings I can mess with to get the game to run smoother? I've tried playing around but haven't had much luck.

i'm completely new to this forum and have done countless web searching and had no luck.. so i'm sorry to anyone who reads this and thinks "not another ff7 post" :p

i'm running ff7 (rom downloaded from romhustler) on v2, using schp1001 as my bios. cycle multiplier set to 3, frame rate to 30 and enabled the sound. it's a bit jumpy, and especially when you enter battle scenes it starts off really slow and skips a lot. also the music is way behind too and never really catches up.

i was wondering if anyone's had any joy running it faster by changing any setting - or downloading a different bios or even a different version of the rom itself. i'm running it on the htc desire HD so i shouldn't really have much problem with processing power.

i ran it on the lite version, just for the banter, and it runs much quicker. i can't save or load game states (can use the save points though!) although the other issue is that the font doesn't appear as clear as it did in v2.

sorry again if this has already been answered! emulator's cracking though, love how i'll be able to go anywhere playing some of my old favourite games :)

Version 2 is $6 now. Sucks to be those that bought v1 at $6 and didn't grab v2 when it was $2. $12 for something that is still in what I would consider to be an alpha stage.
