Apps Publishing applications for beta testing

I have just finished my first application and want to publish it so others can test it for me.

However, I am worried that by putting it on the market others will also download it, find it still has a few bugs and then vote it down.

Is it possible to prevent that?

There is a subforum here called Alpha and Beta testing. You can post your apk there and people can test it for you.

I saw that but I noticed that they were posting links to the market.
Is it possible to post links to other places or to offer to send via e-mail?

You can use Dropbox to share the file. Just put it in your public folder and go to dropbox.com and get the public link.
