Push Email for SGS2

Hi all...

I've just moved from the blackberry to the Galaxy S2. Everything else being great the problem I have is with the email. I had 10 email accounts setup on the blackberry which I need here as well.

9 out of these 10 are google apps accounts and the other is a webmail. I setup the 9 in the Gmail app and the 10th one in Samsung Mail.

The Problem:
The gmail app doesn't push emails from all the accounts but only from the account which is selected. So every hour or so, I have to go and refresh each account to check if there's any new email.

The Email app on SGS2, in which I have configured the webmail account keeps showing me a connection error and then will randomly update/synchronize the email.

Not only that, with each refresh, the older emails show as unread and it's a pain to get the count back to zero as there's nothing like "mark prior read" like I did in the blackberry. (Or at least I can't find it, and I looked!)

Please let me know if there's something I'm missing or doing wrong, because this is a major problem and I really don't want to switch back to the berry.

Thanks!

Have you gone to Settings>Accounts and made sure all of them have automatic sync checked?

I have multiple GMail accounts set up and all of them work fine with push on my Moto Milestone 2.

Yep! They're all Synced. There was one which wasn't and it showed it in the gmail app. Nothing seems to work.

Since the last two days, even the active account on the gmail app doesn't push email. I have to start the app and push refresh or wait a few seconds before the new emails show up!

Ok, I seem to have solved the problem for now. Somehow I had unchecked the autosync. Checked it and now I have 50 unread emails!

Thanks a lot!!

I have a samsung galaxy s2, i had this same problem, it transpires there is a feature that when the power gets low it turns off the autosync until the phone is charged, mine was set at 75% so most of the time the phone wouldn't auto sync. Maybe your phone has a similar option.
