Help push email with stock app

I just purchased the Motorola XPRT with Sprint, have been a blackberry user the last 3-4 years. I am setting up my pop email accounts with the stock email app on the phone. when i click refresh it loads all my emails but i cannot get it to push, i have data push checked and fetched marked as every 15 minutes. it seems i have to manually refresh each account to get all the new emails. anyone know why I might be having this issue?

i suspect you dont have "sync accounts" on. Can you add the Android "Power Control" widgets and make sure that the "SYNC" icon is enabled. It looks like two arrows going on a circle.
