Help putting movies onto a500

hi all, have got non rooted a500 running ICS very well with no issues , i have had some annoying isssues trying to copy dvds/ digital copies so kids can watch films on tablet, downloaded dvd converter but oh my god, it took over an hour to do less then 2% so gave it up as bad job. the other thing is for a newbie how to then get them from computer to sd card/tablet last time i sort of did it it was all gobbledy gook pixels with no picture. you expertise very much needed many thanks jim

I save them to a folder on my portable drive and either drga them onto the MicroSD card in my A500 or put them onto my USB and plug it into the A500.

I know there are many other solutions out there, but this is the only one I have used.

You could try using mxplayer from the play store, I dont even convert my movies because mxplayer can play almost everything. And when it doesnt give sound you can just change the decoder in the upper right corner.

I thought the OP was trying to get them onto his tablet, not simply trying to play them. I don't have to do anything once they are on the tablet, they play through the Acer or any other media player I have on it.

i'm using Vuze to transcode my movies
it copy the movies automatically
