Root Putting Themes on an HTC MAGIC (ROGERS)

Sadly, the Android Market in Canada does not have any paid apps. I was just wondering is there any way I can put themes onto my phone? I find that it really sucks that I can't use any of the dxtop themes or openhome themes in the market unless I actually have the app itself (which I cannot purchase). Thanks

You can purchase it using paypal. Or use another app to enable paidapp, it's app enabler something like that, cant remember exactly the name.

...which requires rooting! Potential bricking, some lack of functionality and inevitable future monitoring of updates isn't my idea of a good solution, especially from the perspective of Google and Rogers as service providers!
I wish there would be some action on this front,or at least some communication. I had never anticipated this taking so long after product launch!

I doubt you can buy paid apps normally anytime soon, even its out for a few months. You need to wait for the announcement, but nothing is coming out. Dead air.
