pvwmdrmProxy is hogging your data

Hi all,

Very sorry for starting a new thread on this when there's possibly an existing one, but our internet here at work is semi-filtered and the search function doesn't work for me.

I have a data tracking app called Onavo which is really good at picking up which apps use how much data, and flagging up the offenders.

Can anyone narrow down what PVWmdrmProxy is, what it does, and why it might be flagged as data hogging? Is it just a function that serves another app, like market for example?

Thanks!

I'm wondering the same thing. Recently my phone has been acting like it has a virus on it, so I'm trying to locate the source. PVWmdrmProxy seems to show up in many different monitoring apps, like Onavo.

Any insight as to what this is would be helpful! Thanks. :)
