[Q] Can't access phone after using 'adb wipe all'

Lurker
Hi, I have a HUAWEI IDEOS X5 U8800 and I used the command 'abd wipe all' which worked but had some errors towards the end.
After that I switched on the phone and all it displayed was the HUAWEI logo and getting into a boot loop. The phone won't also go into recovery mode by pressing volume+ and power button.
On Pressing volume+/- and power button the phone gets into update mode but can't access it via computer using a usb cable.
Thanks for your concern, I appreciate it.

You may have to Download the Latest Upgrade from Huawei and load the Update.App to your Micro SD card.

2.1Forced Upgrade
The forced upgrade method is as follows:
Note: After the forced upgrade, all user data (contacts, text messages, and multimedia messages) will be lost.
1. Go to Support - Huawei Device Co., Ltd.. and search for the latest U8150 version, download it to the local drive, and uncompress it to extract the upgrade file.
2. In the SD card root directory, create a new folder named dload. Take the extracted upgrade file, UPDATE.APP, and copy it to the dload folder.
3. Insert the SD card into the mobile phone.
4. When the mobile phone is powered off, press the Volume +, Volume -, and Power keys at the same time to initiate the forced upgrade.
5. After the upgrade is complete, restart the phone, and continue to use as before.

This Download is applied to all Models apparently.
When you go to Huawei - Search > Smartphones > Your Model (U8800) > Software > U8800 Android-2.3.5 198.68MB is the one you want.
Download to your comp and Right click on it and Explore. There is U8800 Software Upgrade Guideline which you should print copy of.
Right click Step 1 and Explore > Right click dload > Right click and UPDATE.APP shows. This is the file you need to install in Root of SD card.
It's pretty straight forward to do. If it doesn't show "Unpacking" on screen - (remove battery to stop - re-insert battery) just start and repeat again. You may have to do this 2 or 3 times to get it to Start Unpacking.
Make sure your battery is fully charged before you start, and when it starts Unpacking - don't touch anything until it finishes.
Cheers Neil.
