Root [Q] Droid X ADB Issue - Please Help

Hello Everyone,

I've scoured the net looking for a solution to this and after two days sifting through all sorts of miscellaneous info, I have utterly failed to find a solution.

I currently have a Motorola Droid X which was running Froyo 2.2 rooted perfectly on Windows 7. I had no issues previously connecting my Droid X via USB (With USB Debugging enabled) and utilizing ADB successfully.

I just recently updated my phone to 2.3.340 which has unrooted my phone but also has appeared to broken something with the way ADB uses USB to connect. Now when I run the command, "abd devices" I receive a result of the following:

"List of Devices Attached
015D84ED13017011 offline"

Aside from uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them from numerous locations around the web (Google, Motorola, etc) it does not appear to work. The phone does not have any issues being detected when the USB cable is plugged in. I am able to utilize pretty much every other function, up to including seeing the serial of the device when its plugged in, it just appears offline.

Can anyone help me out here? Is there something that I'm missing? Just to recap..

-USB Debugging: Enabled
-USB Connection: PC Mode
-Android Version: Froyo 2.3.340
-Android SDK: Version 8
-OS: Win 7
-Drivers: Motorola Device Driver Package 4.71
-ADB Interface: Mot Composite ADB Interface

I am using the one click root and it goes through the first part just fine, then it says to restart the abd server and once I do that mine shows offline and won't come back online until I reboot the phone. I have tried all of the different modes and even tried it on my old XP PC..... I am version 2.2.1

Try putting the X in charge only mode.
when I first rooted mine it had to be in charge mode to run the commands and properly
Show up in adb
