Root [Q] Forgot unlock pattern and Phone locked

Hi,

My friend has forgot his unlock pattern and has locked his device. I was not able to get the data on to login using a gmail account.

i am planning to give a factory reset using recovery mode , but the problem is he has some important data and photo's in the phone internal memory and dont want to delete .

Is there any way to get it safely. USB debugging is not enabled, i tried that method already.

I dont know the kernel version of the phone ? .. Is there a way to install a custom recovery and backup the entire phone and then give a factory reset ?

Please guide me ...

I'm not familiar with how locked this device is, but you could use Odin to flash custom recovery to the phone and then boot into it. Make a nandroid, and then perform a factory reset from the custom recovery. It will delete the apps, but it should leave any documents and/or pictures in tact that the stock recovery wouldn't.

Thanks for the reply bro, can you point me to the recovery files for the note n7000 ? ..

Does flashing any recovery works for the note N7000 ? .. Do i need to flash the recovery responding to the Kernel ? . PLease guide me ?

Thanks for the info bro, i got it figured, extracted the data.
I put the phone in the recovery mode and then the ADB started working.
I pulled everydata from the phone using the ADB commands :)
It worked, thanks so much.
