Lurker
Just wondering if anyones come up with a way to mount the Defy on a motorcycle yet? Can't find a dedicated mount for the Defy yet so am looking for other options...Waiting for delivery of a holster

which, if I could remove the belt-clip, I could probably attatch to a universal stem mount like this Motohaus Powersports Limited Stem Mount Not sure about how much clearance there would be between the holster and the phone for any securing nuts/fasteners, so just interested if anyone has rigged up something similar? Can't wait to get my hands on this phone as the IP67 spec makes it perfect for use as a motorcycle sat-nav!

There's an OEM automotive holster that uses a suction cup mount, correct? I was thinking that the ball/socket attachment on the back of that would lend itself to use with Garmin hardware, and I know they make handlebar mounts.

Not sure it's a secure enough connection to hold the Defy indefinitely, though. =\

Got an R1 which has clipons- this means I need to mount the phone to the steering stem. Managed to pick up one of these The Telferizer Custom Motorcycle RAM mounts for GPS Systems off ebay and these Ram mount parts to secure the phone RAM Mount Aluminum Short Dual 1.0 inch Socket Arm: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike, Base w/ Ball 2-7/16" x 1-5/16": Amazon.co.uk: Sports & Leisure, RAM Mounting Systems RAM-HOL-UN4U Universal Finger Grip Holder: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics.
Particularily like the phone holder as, having watched a UTube clip, I can be confident that the phone won't pop out over bumps in the road (got the suspension set up stiff for road/track use!) Hope this helps.

Here's a couple of pics of the Rammount Fingergrip. Road tested it today and even at speed it seems very solid (got my suspension set up pretty stiff so it got bumped about a fair bit!) It also gives full access to all buttons and sockets if you use the four small fingers instead of the larger end plates...
