Root [Q] stock boot.img

I am new to this device as I just got it yesterday! I've rooted and put cm7 on it. So far It's running great! I thank everyone for that. Any ways I am trying to get stock boot.img witch I cannot find? I am trying to develop something for you guys if I get that boot.img. I would greatly appreciate it!

depends on which stock boot.img you want to use, The TRUE Stock boot.img from Froyo will do absolutly no good on GingerBread ext4 Based Roms, such as AR, TalkStraight, or CM7 you need a full source 2.6.35.7 to build a kernel that is compatible with GingerBread Based (EJ06) Prevail Based Roms. the Stock Froyo Kernel being version 2.6.32.9 just doesn't support enough of the changes to work properly on these.

but good luck anyway, also you will need a baseline config from a stock froyo running precedent if you want to build on 2.6.32.9 or the (supplied source code for precedent by samsung)
 
I didn't even think about that! Could you guys upload Gingerbread boot.img if you don't mind? I will take a look at both of them anyways.. Thanks!
 
You would have to compile one yourself as there is no stock gingerbread for the precedent. There are boot images from any of the gingerbread based roms from AA51 or my TalkStraight or CyanogenMod 7 port. Just open the .zip and there it is.
