Root [Q] Tried flashing Samsung Galaxy 3 - Android system recovery

Hey guys,

This is my 1st attempted at flashing a ROM and I think it failed

So I was trying to install this
[ROM] Kyrillos' ROM v2.2 Gingerbread Edition

and was following this guide on how to flash
Samsung Galaxy 3 (I5801/I5800) Flashing Guide


It looks like everything happens like its meant to, but when the phone turned on it is at a Android System Recovery Menu

Options:

Reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition

Is this meant to happen? What do I do now?

Try to reflash. Don't forget to wipe cache partition. And before you start, do a hard reset.

When it boots up into that menu, wipe cache and data partitions then reboot. Remember your first boot after flashing a ROM could take anywhere between 5 and 10 minutes
