Q4's Vanilla Android?

Any word out on when the next vanilla build android phone will be released??

I've had the pleasure of getting the G1 - since it was released in Oct2008
and currently have the Nexus S - since it was released in Dec2010 (had to wait 2 months after I was eligible for a phone update with Tmo, but it was well worth the wait)
I'll be eligible for a phone update in Oct2012, and I'm hoping and praying that a new vanilla andoid phone will be ready when the time comes.

What's on the rumor mill on the next Vanilla Android phone??

There were rumours that there will be more than one Nexus phone. Most recent claimed that Samsung, Sony and LG would be making one, though how credible that detail is I don't know.

There was a recent claim that the specs of the Samsung one had been sighted, but frankly I have my doubts: the claim was a miniscule cpu boost (small speed step, same outdated processor family) and expandable storage (not seen since the N1), so I suspect that if that was a real device at all it isn't a Nexus.

I heard that news story about multiple manufacturers each releasing their own nexus phones next year. So far no spy shots or specs.
Acer made a recent press release that they'll be making 5 new android phones in 2013, hopefully one of them will be a vanilla android phone. *fingers crossed*
