I am very appreciative of all the valuable advice in this forum. I have learned a lot... well at least the basics.... as I am very new to Android.
The phone I bought was used and VERY cheap. However, my likelihood of being able to replace it are slim to nil. When I had a technician unlock it, he noted that the SD card sockets pins are severely bent out of shape. Guess that is why it was only $ 4.99
Straightening and realigning the gold contacts is proving to be next to impossible. Thus the idea occured to me of hardwiring the SC card pin for pin to the socket.
I realize that this is dicey considering the very thin nature of the gold contacts. So I was wondering if anyone here has dealt with this problem and if they might share some advice.
I should add that I am comfortable when working on circuit boards, but this one semi-scares me
Any feedback will be most welcomed.
