Root QLight for QSlide

Well I got the browser working in qslide but does require editing in a line to the build.prop and need to rethene the browser to match ours as I snagged this browser from the lg l70 i think? something to that effect. heres a screen. youll notice that by changing the build.prop it changes our lte animation to the 4G icon. but that's no deal breaker for me.

Here's the modified LGBrowser.apk and the line to add to build.prop in case you guys want to tinker around with it a bit.

just delete your lgbrowser from priv-app and copy this one over and set permissions. then edit this line in to your build.prop,can be anywhere but i added it at the top in the ro.build.x area.

ro.build.target_operator=OPEN


edit: file removed until it can be fixed to work properly

edit: you do not have to add the line above as its already in the build.prop (just missed it being in there) listed under additional build properties. just change it to OPEN and then save.

Works good, just add to install instuctions to remove/rename the lgbrowser.odex ;)
 
Tested all of the above files, everything works fine. Did 5 reboots, nothing wrong. Excellent work bro!!:)

Some bad news.
Changing from SPR to OPEN, saving, and rebooting - breaks 3g/4g.
Tried and verified with build.prop backups 4 times. On/off data switch greys out. Switching OPEN back to SPR, save, and reboot - restores data.

Some good news.
Browser still works. BUT doesn't minimize anymore. It still shows up in qslide area.

Any clues??

not sure if you can add multiple instances of same app. as for changing to open vs spr then breaking data. may need to decompile the browser and see if it can be edited to run in qslide mode with sprint as default provider. not sure. may even need further editing in framework files.
 
still works, in fact you can try different carrier settings for operator. VZW works but as you can see from the screen it changes icons in status bar reflecting signal. in order to keep data just make change and reboot to recovery and do a cache,dalvik cache wipe. changing the operator also changes things in your network settings area of settings.


edit: forgot screen lol...oh well never mind

i dont recommend this browser to anyone as a daily with any of these modifications until real solution can be worked out though.
 
when the operator is something other than carrier specific then the qslide browser isnt available for use. i think only at&t and verizon work with it...or international branded devices.

Will ##update# clear the issue? Having some other issues so i cant test.
 
as far as i can tell you can only resolve issue by putting SPR back in the build.prop for operator. you can give it a try. cant hurt.
