QR Code to Open File?

I am wondering if anyone knows of an App that will use a QR code to open a file, such as a word document or pdf, located on your phone.

I can create a QR code with the file location but when I scan it using QR Droid 4 Beta it tries to add http:// to the front of the link and open it in the browser.

Thoughts?
