Help quad core or dual core?

Which is more important and why?

The S4 version is marginally slower than the quad. If you want LTE, go for it.

The quad is nice but with no LTE here, no reason to get anything else

which is the s4 version? i'm in canada

No I haven't tested it but I've been here long enough to get an idea how it performs.

The exynos is ARM a9 based. Getting a bit long in the tooth. A few LTE phones have the s4 krait and perform close to their exynos / Tegra 3 (a9) counter parts.

The s4 is a similar architecture to the upcoming ARM a15 quads. Expect current quads to be blown out of the water soon.

But back to the krait. Its architecture means it actually outperforms the exynos in some areas - its that good. Just in everyday use / benchmarks, overall its a bit slower

i seen reviews online and on youtube. the quad core is a lil faster by a few seconds not minutes. i would of hot the quad core but it costed a lil extra more money that i dont have lol. anyways im getting the galaxy note 10.1 that has a quad core. ill see how that stacks up against my gs3.

but how much faster is LTE over H+ ?

id say its a lot faster but i dont realy use up my data a whole lot so it dont really matter. i guess if you like to stream movies and surf web on the go a whole lot.. 4g lte is for you.

also att states 4g lte is 10x faster than 3g. so its probably 5x faster as h+?

also keep in mind that the s4 s3 (thats gotta be confusing) has 2 gigs of ram. ive gotten a lot more benefit from that than i think i would have with a quad core processor

then why does t-mobile (hspa+ right?) have the fastest data (average) in the latest shoot out?

Because network speeds depend on an infinite amount of variables at that one specific moment in time that the tests were conducted.

Its going to be different from place to place and time to time

listen to this guy he knows what hes talking about.

It's really not any faster. I have a T-Mobile branded Galaxy S3 and it gets downloads that are as fast (20+Mbps) as my friends get with Verizon LTE. One thing you need to check into if you decide to get the international version is that it will work with your carriers data network. You may find that it does not work with anything other than 1x with your carrier.

The extra ram is mainly to handle the LTE overhead. There's a UK LTE coming that's quad core and 2gb RAM apparently. The LTE aspect wont work in the USA though

well, since i have the t-mo s3, which doesnt have LTE, i guess i can use the extra ram for my own purposes? that would be fun though, a quad core s3 with 2 gb of ram, LTE, and 64 gb of storage and another 64 gb sd card with the ability to install apps on there stock... we can all dream cant we?

I'm just going on what I read here. Whatever its actually for, its in place to play catchup with the proper s3 ;)

Can't have a brilliant Quad core for europe and then a really slow version for US
