As impressive as you may think this is, I have noticed that there are some games that use Open GL that run slower on the Esteem than they did on my Indulge. I believe this is because the Indulge uses a smaller resolution and the Hummingbird has a better GPU. But there were also a handful of games that wouldn't display/load properly on the Indulge because the screen was too small. Overall though, this is the top phone for Metro and will probably reign for quite a while as I don't see them adding a dual core phone to their lineup in the near future.

The Esteem is almost an identical clone of the LG Revolution with the exception of running a better version of Android and having less internal storage. Metro did a good job for once on porting over a phone...unlike the "mentally challenged brother" of the Samsung Galaxy that they released known as the Indulge.

why is the battery so low on this compared to the revolution? the revolution gets 7.25 hours of talk and the esteem only gets 3.5... why is this?

hmmm....talking to my girlfriend (hehe) at night on the phone for like 3hours straight on full battery...60% left after i hang up after (like stated before) 3 hours.

Seriously doubt the talk time is only 3.5 hours. Data/4G is the main battery drainer, and that gets shut off during a phone call, so being on a long phone call will actually help battery life on these LTE phones, as crazy as that may seem

I love working for metro and knowing the inside scoop.

Samsung and metro are buddy budies...so to speak..LG is becoming one too..

to answer your statement that metro will not be getting a dual core device soon...well..this is what I'm told..Samsung and Metropcs are developing a new device only for metro to launch (kinda like the samsung craft).

It will be android gingerbread or honeycomb mobile version and have a super amaloid screen. 5.2" screen, 8mp + rear camera with flash, 3mp front camera, dual core proc and an nvidia micro gpu. They are trying to get this launched later of 2012.

So don't get to excited because I'm not, right now. But just from those slight spec's, that sounds amazing for an Android Device..

agreed. must be a typo..

also, I've had my batter going for about a day and a half on light usage. Text here, minor web browsing and a video or two on youtube and a couple song downloads, with a few phone calls. Gingerbread seems to be 100% better when your phone is in sleep mode.

But most importantly, turning off Auto Sync and Auto Notifications will increase your batter life 2fold. no joke.

Why would anybody want a 5.2" screen on a phone? The Dell Streak was 5" and it looked ridiculous.

Because it's the 'in-between' device. Table/phone. Larger phone, small tablet.

A little easier to carrier around a device that does what a tablet will do, hardware and softwear and also have phone/data calls built in.

my guess otherwise, idk. But I saw it and it's sweet!
