Quadrant standard

This is my theory/ assumption. I have used quadrant on and x2, bionic and razr and all of them show one core. All 3 phones have gingerbread. Now I used quadrant on a galaxy nexus running ICS and quadrant showed 2 cores. My guess despite what some may say is that gb did not support dual core yet like ICS does. That's just my guess from my testing.

I would tend to agree that Quadrant is having an issue with Gingerbread. I checked Quadrant on my Xoom and Honeycomb seems to report 2 cores properly. So we know that both Honeycomb and ICS report 2 cores... so either this is an issue with Gingerbread or the Razr doesn't have a true dual core processor (and I shudder to think of the ramifications of that!)

Has anyone noticed under system info it shows the CPU as a single core arm v7..

The armv7 is the instruction set that the CPU is using. Quadrant is pretty much a worthless app. Too easy to trick and also weights scores terribly. If you use a benchmark like Vellamo it reports both cores.
