I need a good cheap smartphone, Like from Wallmart...etc-used would be fine, to use on my prepaid Verizon account...for some reason, even tho it meets all the requirements, my girlfriends Galaxy Precedent wont work, (too bad too, I like it plus its free), any suggestions?

The Precedent seems to use Sprint towers, not Verizon. So, it doesn't really meet the requirements at all

If you pick up a phone from Walmart (or anywhere) just remember that Straight Talk/Net 10/Tracfone won't be unlockable so you won't be able to use them on your Verizon prepaid account. You'd have to select a Verizon branded phone.

Have a look at Swappa.com, there are some inexpensive used phones there.

thank you, I kina wanted to walk into some place and just get it, but thank you, ill check it out.
So what im getting from this is...even tho Verizon has the same phone, and i can put on it a rom with cfw from a Verizon phone, its from a company that uses Verizon towers, there is no way to use any other phone except a prepaid one bought for Verizon and under the Verizon umbrella, correct?

so how did she use it on her Verizion account back east when she forgot hers here? Different towers? I thought both of them used the same ones?

Ya, you and me both... cides im justa nubie to all this.
I looked at the site and to be honest, they all look newer and nice, I dont want to buy one off yhe internet unless i have too, I just wanted a cheapo cash one I could fool around with, but thank you for your help.
