Can anyone pls tell me what is that round thing below earpiece of A70 ??

If we go through the page 14 of the manual for A70, No. 4 is earpiece, No. 5 is auxiliary camera, but what is that round thing in the middle left under earpiece ?? Is it a type of sensor ?? or is it a light that blinks ??

Proximity Sensor

u can see that if u check phone in sunlight
it is used to turn off the display when u place phone near the ear
called proxy sensor
and when u moves it back it will turn on the display
