Quest for the perfect music player!

I've tried dozens of music apps, and it seems almost every time, there will be a unique feature that I live, but then the app fails in other areas. I love the ui in player pro and the fade setting, but it fails otherwise. I love Fusion's gesture support to pause and skip, but the ui is terrible. Apollo had a good ui, but nothing unique and no ability to go back a song, even with random off. And Apollo random sucked too.

These are all my opinions, and I mean no offense to any devs associated with these apps. Has anyone found a music player they truly love? There must be some all around great music apps. I'm at the point where I want to learn to make apps and just combine all these awesome features that each app has lol

And of course, maybe I'm also a harsh critic ;)

I love poweramp. I can download themes, it supports the headphone button for play, pause, forward and back and it has a great equalizer. What I like most about it, is that it has a setting that prevents double entries while you are making playlists. It also allows folder playback.

I've tried many music players but I've never come across one that beats poweramp.

Hi Guys! Can anyone here recommend a good music player that can customized my playlist like cover art, lyrics etc and can amplify the songs as well? Thank you. :)

PowerAmp has automatic album art download but you can also use a local bitmap if you so choose. Its equalizer has a preamp slider that can boost the volume without causing distortion.

For a non rooted phone i like power amp. But since viper is a better equalizer it makes power amp less useful..

PowerAmp kept throwing up a dialog saying that the app quit even when it wasn't running.

I'm using Equalizer+ right now instead of PowerAmp and like it better..

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.odesanmi.and.zplayer

Try either of those.

I used both before my carrier started giving out a free subscription to deezer and thought both were great.
Couple months later I just finally got around to trying n7 and I'm nerdgasming all over lol the interface is so cool! I love the way you can flip through the album wall to add to current queue, and unlike almost every music player on Google play, it does NOT split my albums like an atom in the Hadron collider rofl

I use PowerAmp and even purchased the unlocker,I really like it:

And VLC is great too, even use VLC on my computers:

I've been using power amp as well, and it's one of the better ones definitely. I've been able to tag my music in pa. But as soon as I go into the player, my music volume level drops, and the audio quality changes, not really for better or worse. I think it's because I have Viper fx installed and it competes with power amp equalizer but I'm not sure

For sure,If I'm not mistaken it did the same to me when I had Viper on one of my old phones.

So I'm not crazy and experiencing a unique issue at least lol. It's still been my best tagger but it seems n7 can do that too. So that might be my new one now

You could try to return to stock audio and reinstall Viper and DD, and not install the eq. that comes with Viper.
Unless its an AIO installation now.

I could, but I love viper. I'm not giving it up for a music player lol besides, as far as I've known it's always been an AIO. Flash or apk

Yeah,But during the installation you have or had an option not to install the eq. if I remember correctly.
Well, I can personally guarantee your memory is better than mine lol so your probably right. I know it asks about installing a driver? Maybe that's what you mean. Never understood what the differences were. I chose one and it has worked out for me :p
