Question About Amazon Apps

I have read all the Amazon App threads I could find and I noticed someone posted that there was a thread that explained a way to install the amazon apps once you downloaded them without the need to have the app store installed. I cannot find that thread.

Is there a way that if I want to delete the amazon app store and then install or reinstall the apps I got from them(free or paid) without needing the app store app installed or can you point me to the thread please.

Also is there a way for the regular market to recognize them so I can get any updates in the future?

I was wondering the same. I have an inklink that it has to be done through Amazon's Appstore, but I hope somebody knows otherwise

Whats the big deal with having the amazon app installed on the phone? I think its a fair trade for all the free apps there giving away.

I agree whole heartedly. Love the free apps. What we're wanting is to link the apps to the market after downloading from Amazon, so that they update with all the other apps.

I don't believe that can be done, which to me is the only drawback of the Amazon App Store.
