question about Android 2.3 on my optimus V

Is there a way to see all your running apps? Like on windows, where you have the bar at the bottom and you can jump to another app that is open and running?

my kids have android 4.x on their tablets and they have this functionality but I can't find it on my phone.

for example, if I'm using an app, and I hit the home button on my phone to do something else, i can't find a way to get back to the app, other than going all the way back to the app page and "re-opening" the app again, even tho it's already running.

not sure if i explained it well...... is there a way to view the open/running apps and jump back and forth between them?

You could hold down the home key and then choose a running app.
