Question about apps on phablets

[Fireflies]

I'm getting the galaxy note 2 soon and I'm wondering when I buy apps; should I get the tablet version of the app or phone version? Also what's the difference between phone version of the app and the "HD" or tablet version of the app? Are there any universal apps like they have with apple?

I'm asking this because the screen of the phablet is too big to be a phone and too small tone a tablet..so I'm confused...

what's the difference between phone version of the app and the "HD" or tablet version of the app?

'HD' is 1920x1080 pixels, the Note 2's screen resolution is 1280x720.

Doesn't matter about tablet versions or phone versions. Once you get the note, only the compatible apps can be installed. For example, if an app has two versions, a tablet and phone version, only the compatible one will appear when you search for the app on your phone.
