Question about apps

I was wondering, I have a samsung galaxy ace, but if I get samsung galaxy S2 or S3, how do I transfer all my apps and save games from samsung galaxy ace to samsung galaxy S2 or S3?

For now the only game I have is sonic 4 episode 1 on my samsung galaxy ace, only problem is that its a bit laggy, I think its due to samsung galaxy ace not being powerful enough. So how would I be able to transfer sonic 4 episode 1 to samsung galaxy S2 or S3?

I think if you move the game to SD card and move the SD card over to another phone, it'll work that way. But I'm not sure as I've never tried it that way.

The way I do know would work is to root and get an app like Titanium Backup or MyBackup and back up all of your apps, then root the new phone and restore the backups.
