Question About Browsers

why doesnt the browser ever save my last visited page . ?

if im at Yahoo.com, and i minimize the browser , then open it 10 minutes later , im back at my homescreen . is there something wrong with my phone , or is that just how it works ? is there anyway to fix that ?

Thanks

What phone do you have? Are you using the stock browser or a third party browser like Dolphin?

I have the Incredible 2 and I use Dolphin browser. When I close "not exit" the browser it stays on the last page visited.

Most browsers when you Exit the browser and reopen it, it opens to your homepage. If you want yahoo.com to always open then you open the browser then you need to make it your default homepage.

What browser are you using? Stock browser? All other third party browsers I've used (Dolphin, Boat, Opera) all remember your last page unless you specifically pressed the exit button which the stock browser on your phone doesn't have.

I prefer Boat over Dolphin and Opera. :p
Me too.

I've been in touch with Boat's dev, suggesting some features that he said he will implement in the next update.

One of them is "swipe left/right to change tabs", which is very nice when in fullscreen mode.

I believe xScope has that feature.

The truth is that the smoothest browser is Opera, but Boat's design and features got me stuck. I hope the dev will work that smoothness out, he says he's rewritting it.

The thing I hate about Opera is that it doesn't use the same user agent as other browsers do, so it shows you how pages would look if you were using Opera on old Symbian. Just go to Facebook, it uses the old m.facebook.com which was made for non-touch phones, and Opera isn't fully compatible with touch.facebook.com....WTF.

I've been using xScope for a long time, it is still my favorite. It has the best balance of being full featured without being bloated, as well as being fast and it will download anything. Also like the one finger pin-zoom feature. That was a must when I had a non multi touch phone, but I still find myself using it a lot.
