Help Question about "default app" settings:

BSBHVR2

Newbie
This applies to several things, but as an example I'll use Youtube. When I search for a video in my Google Search bar, it'll ask me how it wants me to open it. It asks if I want to use the internet or Youtube, and then just this once or always. I always choose always. And after I answer that question it says something about clearing default settings in settings. My question is why do I have to keep doing this? And more importantly, how can I make it remember my choice?

I hope that makes sense.

you have to do this for each instance of a file type with different handlers or apps for them. if you click just once it will ask again if you click always it will says its peace and thats it for the file type till you install a new handler for it. so using your youtube link (you have the app, then internet) but if you added a new media player that could handle youtube links then it would ask again.

if your referring to the second screen about clearing the app default that will be said for every handler choice you do.

This makes sense. I do often download different media players, Twitter apps, etc and give them a try. It hadn't occurred to me that that may be why it continues to ask.

Thanks!
