Help Question about detail stamps on photos - seriously need the answer!

[Android Question]

If there is a photo in a phones gallery and it has the time, date, exposure, aperture, galaxy model number on it. And it sits in camera storage alongside those taken on the camera.

Is there any chance that photo was received onto the device via FB or WhatsApp from another device?

Or does that detail mean it was taken on the device its sitting on?

Or is that level of detail

The "gallery" is an app, not a location. So if you know it's in the folder your own camera's pictures are in then it's likely it was taken with the camera. If not, you need to find out where it actually is (select picture and then check its details, that should tell you).

If think FB normally strips exif data (exposure, aperture, etc), can't say about other apps.

1-Did the model number associated with the picture match the model number the of the phone? That would be a clue
2-the actual directory path where the file was found may provide a clue to it's origin. Use a file explorer

I found out the other day that downloading a pic changes the details tag to a new one and not the one made when taken
