Question about games and hardware

I bought my first product that uses android a nexus 7 mostly for slightly larger phone to read and watch movies and videos. I bought Nova 3 but it seems to run poorly on my device so im wondering what to do in future since it did not say it was incompatible but game runs like 5fps and you cant play it.

I've never played Nova 3 but this guy seems to be playing it just fine on his N7:NOVA 3 Gameplay on Nexus 7 Tablet - YouTube

The Nexus 7 isn't outdated yet. I would guess this game just isn't optimized for Tegra 3 devices. For future devices, the greater processoring power would help, but poor code will always bring you down.

Well seems be low fps even in that video but then again im coming from a high end pc when i play all games 60fps.

I have nova 3 on iphone 4s and it runs better and looks just as good.

Does nexus 7 have worse hardware than iphone 4s

Again, optimization is the key here. Think like consoles vs PC's, AMD vs Intel, Mac vs PC vs Linux. They all work differently and you can't expect things to be the same for a number of reasons.

Also, how many kinds of iPhones are there? A handful. Dev's have a few platforms with fewer bars to meet.

How many different kinds of Android? Thousands. Android dev's have to support a plethora of different hardware and software configurations.

I would express my concerns to Gameloft if I were you. Maybe in a future update they can fix your issues. But I strongly doubt this is a hardware problem, nor is it an Android problem.

As far as i thought nexus 7 is one top selling android devices so you think it would work on it its at one best prices for alot people to buy.

If android is so different device to device apps should allow you to lower graphic setting and tweak to your device like a pc but still is limited i guess.

Sounds like something you should include in your email to Gameloft.
And like any software, it's only limited by what the developer can program.
