Question about Google Maps 3d on Android

[Evo4sickness]

I just saw the video of the new 3.0 tablet OS and it had Google maps in 3D. Is there a way of that working on an Evo or any Android Phone cuz I want that now if thats possible. Or would you have to wait for 2.2 for it to work or even a newer version for it to work.

Already works on the latest Maps, only in a few select cities though (ie. New York is the only one I've found so far.)

Ok nice but is there a 3D button you have to push or is in layers.

yeah there's a button, but you also have to be in a city that is supported.

You need to have Google Maps 5.0, which is available for any Android 1.6 and above. The 3D effect requires a supported city though, mainly major US ones. New York, also Las Vegas.

Houston, etc etc. You need to be zoomed in quite a bit.
