I'd like to know how to use the Maps app to find things that are ON MY ROUTE. If I just have the map centered on me, it finds fast food restaurants that are behind me. I tried having it navigate to my destination (several states away), then searching for fast food restaurant, and it found fast food restaurants four states away. Ack! Is there a way to search for locations that are actually coming up in a reasonable distance? The use case is just looking for lunch on a long car trip...
Also is it possible to click-and-drag part of a route to use different roads on Android Maps? Assuming the "alternate routes" button is unavailable for some unknown reason...
