Help Question about Google play store

[Android Question]

Is it possible once you download an app, to retrieve the .apk from the filesystem? Like say you wanted to copy and save for a future install, without redownloading it?

Does Play Store save .apk files in cache once they're downloaded?

[Hadron]

The apk is in /data/app, which you can't access without root.

However, there are backup apps such as Helium which can be used on an unrooted phone.

Many File managers, such as X-plore and ES have an APPS backup function.
App Backup is another useful program.
