Help Question about Handcent App

My brother had to go and get a new Moment because the battery wouldn't last more than a few hours no matter what you did. Now that he has his replacement he is trying to remember how to set Handscent as the default app for text.....and I can't seem to remember how to set it either.

Anyone remember how to set it as default once you load it, and turn of the phone's junk default text app?

Well you don't set it as a default. They both get the message. But what you want to do is open the normal messaging program, Menu, settings, and uncheck notifications.

On your main screen, delete the shortcut for the messaging. Add Handcent in place of it.

Haha not much of a difference... the widget will display how many unread messages you have... same goes for the voicemail widget... hope that helps!

Thanks. I always wished the voicemail icon indicated how many unheard voicemails were pending.
