Root Question about LTE on/off Network Modes

So... Almost no LTE toggle app I've used with this phone works right. It will turn LTE off, but not back on. The reason being that it enables LTE/CDMA not LTE/CDMA/EVDO. Pretty sure those are right, dont have my phone in front of me at the moment. I'm working on some tasker profiles to try and extend battery life (turn 4g off while screen's off and on while screen's on for instance) but I can't toggle it back on. We have the same problem using the LTE On/Off toggle included in AOKP.

I know that all of these correlate to a fixed indicating number. I'm trying to find a reference for what they are.

To the meat of my question. Is there a command line that you can issue to change the network mode correctly? Perhaps a file that can be manipulated? I'm not really sure. Perhaps swap the indicating number wherever it's referenced for these modes?

I know it's possible as tasker and secure settings *can* toggle it. They just toggle it to a mobile network mode that for whatever reason never gets 4g on our phone.
