Question about overheating

So I'm getting sick of the problems I've been having with my Incredible lately and am considering switching. The most significant problem I've had is that on long trips lately, running navigation while listening to Google music has caused my phone to overheat and shut down completely and refuse to restart (a real joy when this happens as you're getting on the freakin' Cross Bronx Expressway and have no idea where you're supposed to be going). I can live with just about any glitch but death during navigation as I travel a lot for work. How is the Razr Maxx on this front? Thanks!

Mine has certainly never over heated during navigation.

I have never run into an overheating problem with my RazrMaxx. I am a power user. I am able to run netflix on 4G in HD quality burning through 70gigs of data a month. I took an hour and a half drive to a friends house with the nav on and the phone stayed cool.

i have only have had this happen when wifi tethering just put the phone in the freezer for 5 min and all better.
