Question about PC charging

Okay, Heres an interesting question.

Since USB 3.0 is becoming popular rapidly, And most likely 50% of us nowadays have USB 3.0 ports now.. If you plug your USB 2.0 HTC Evo 3D/V into a 3.0 port, Will it charge at USB 2.0 rates(500ma)? Or does it charge at the full 3.0 rate(900mah)? Does fastcharge enabled/disabled effect this in any way?

What about any USB device that is 2.0 in a 3.0 port? Is it allowed to pull the 900mah.. Or does it stick with the 2.0 500mah? Say your using a USB 2.0 4 port self powered hub(Not the kind with a power supply you plug into an AC outlet), plugged into a USB 3.0 port on your motherboard.. Does this mean the USB 2.0 hub can supply 900mah to its 4 ports.. or only 500mah?

Just figured Id ask, Since google doesnt return much. :p

Without fast charge enabled in the kernel, I doubt it would pull 900mA. Since the phone doesn't have USB3.0 ports, it can't "recognize" a USB 3.0 port, or even know that 900mA is an option.

Generally speaking, the end-device regulates power consumption, not the source. I can connect a 5amp device to a 10amp fuse...the 5amp device isn't going to draw 10 amps.

I guess that makes sense. I just wasnt sure if it would work without fastcharge enabled, Or if it would work at all.

I was looking into USB 3.0 hubs and 3.0 external HDD cases on Amazon, And got a message on my phone.. which made me wonder about all of this. Lol.

My motherboard has a feature called Super Charger, I installed it cause its suppose to make charging things really fast. I never timed it to see if it works, it did cause lockups coming out of sleep once in a while. Needless to say, the program was removed.
