So I inherited an old Thunderbolt and was doing the necessary research to achieve root/s-off. Everyone says to use this tool called Revolutionary, which gives root and s-off all in one operation. I'm picking my device on their website when, what do I see, but Evo3d listed as a supported device. With the headache windows users have been having with juopunutbear lately, not to mention the whole wire-trick thing, why aren't we using this?

As in, by the time the Evo V came out? So I guess I was just late to the scene, as far as the 3d scene goes. Thanks for the quick reply. Mods feel free to close if there's nothing further to add.

The S-OFF method that remanifest is testing with unknowforce on XDA uses revolutionary for the actual S-OFF but requires downgrading to an older Sprint GB RUU before that can be done. You can track their progress towards the end of this thread.

Yep patched more than a year ago in most HTC devices (those still getting updates at the time)
You guys got the short end of the stick since the phone had basically already been out and a few holes patched up
Revolutionary was a breeze to use
