Help Question about sending in my phone

VM CS is sending my a new phone after it wouldnt exit Andriod Recvoery because i did a factory Wipe. It will be here in 5 days. They want me to send in my broken phone . What would happen if i had a semi stock custom recovery? Could they do anything about, because my new phone would have arrived before i sent in the old one? It wasnt rooted so im not sure if they will do anything,

First off they certainly are in their rights to refuse you a replacement,seeing you voided the warranty,also i would not alter the new phone in any way.

But, even if they see i voided the warranty, I would have already received the replacement. So there is really nothing they can do about it.
 
They would probally make you pay for the new phone or return it. That's what Verizon has told me in the past on the subject.
 
well i got the phone to 100% stock recovery and rom so hopefull and unrooted so lets see what happens
